Datenschutz

1. Data protection at a glance

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified.

2. Controller

Kerstens Vertriebs GmbH
Breslauer Straße 5
38550 Isenbüttel
Email: info@kerstens-kamine.de
The controller within the meaning of the DSGVO (GDPR) is Kerstens Vertriebs GmbH, represented by its managing director Philipp Kerstens.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf. A data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 DSGVO (GDPR) has been concluded with the provider.

4. Server log files

When you visit our website, your browser automatically sends information to the server, which is stored temporarily in log files:

The data is processed to ensure a smooth connection, convenient use, to evaluate system security and stability, and for administrative purposes. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO (GDPR).

5. Audience measurement without cookies

To understand how our website is used, we count page views using our own method operated on our server. No cookies are set, no data is stored on your device and nothing is passed on to third parties. Your IP address is not stored; it is only combined with the browser identifier and a daily changing random value into an anonymous checksum, which can no longer be assigned to a visit after 24 hours at the latest. We store the page accessed, the referring page, device type, time and clicks on contact options. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO (GDPR) (legitimate interest in designing the website to meet needs).

6. Contact, spare parts and newsletter form

If you send us enquiries via a form, your details, including any uploaded files, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO (GDPR) (pre-contractual measures). The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for processing and there are no statutory retention obligations.
For the newsletter we use the double opt-in procedure: after signing up, you will receive an email in which you confirm your registration. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO (GDPR)), which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email.

7. External links and embedded content

Fonts, images and videos are loaded from our own server. No content from Google Fonts, YouTube or social media providers is embedded. Only when you click on links to Google Maps, Instagram or Kleinanzeigen do the privacy policies of the respective provider apply.

8. Disclosure of data

Your personal data is generally not transferred to third parties unless this is required by law or necessary for the performance of a contract.

9. Your rights

You have the right:

10. Data security

During your visit to the website, we use the widespread TLS procedure in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. We also use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss and against unauthorised access by third parties.

11. Validity and amendment of this privacy policy

This privacy policy is currently valid and was last updated in October 2026.
Due to the further development of our website or changes in legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy. The current version can be found on this website at any time.

Supplement: appointment requests, checklist and uploaded documents

If you request a consultation appointment via our website, we process your contact details (name, email address, telephone number and, optionally, the address of the installation site), your preferred date and your voluntary information from the “Checklist for at home” (e.g. chimney, year of construction, wall structure, asbestos report, access) as well as the photos and documents you upload. The purpose is to prepare and carry out the consultation, to check technical feasibility and to prepare a quote. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO (GDPR) (pre-contractual measures at your request).

Your details and files are stored on our web server (see “Hosting”) and are not sent by email; we receive a notification with your details and a summary of the checklist as a PDF. For further processing, we create your request in our internal order system (Kerstens Kamine service portal). Access is limited to our employees and – where necessary for planning, installation and maintenance – our installation and service company, 369 Vision Werk GmbH & Co. KG.

In connection with the appointment, we send you emails: an acknowledgement of receipt, the appointment confirmation (with calendar entry) or an alternative suggestion, a reminder the day before and, after the appointment, a short follow-up with the option of reviewing us on Google. A review is voluntary; only when you open the link do Google’s privacy policies apply.

We delete appointment requests together with documents as soon as they are no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations (e.g. if an order is placed) prevent this. To protect against data loss, the website data is regularly backed up to storage on our own business premises; backups are deleted after 90 days at the latest, with the exception of one monthly backup.

We retain invoices and accounting records in accordance with the statutory periods (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB).

For this purpose we transmit the amount, order number, name, addresses, email address and telephone number; depending on the payment method chosen, Mollie passes data on to the respective payment provider (e.g. Klarna, PayPal). Privacy information: mollie.com/de/privacy.

Purchase on account (invoice): If you buy on account, we transmit your identity and address data, your date of birth if you wish, and your order and invoice data to our factoring partner for a credit check and for the assignment of the claim; the partner may consult credit agencies for this purpose. The legal basis is Art. 6(1) lit. b and f DSGVO (GDPR) (our legitimate interest in protection against payment defaults). If you do not want this, please choose a different payment method.
